THE EASY 2-STEP PROCESS FOR
RENEWING YOUR SORA LICENSE:

STEP #1:
You must PRE-REGISTER with the NJ State Police. The NJSP SORA website is:
https://eapps.njsp.org/applicant/logon.do

**PLEASE NOTE** YOU CAN ONLY SUBMIT A SORA RENEWAL APPLICATION NO EARLIER THAN 90-DAYS BEFORE YOUR CARD EXPIRES (Example: A card that expires on June 30th cannot be renewed prior to MARCH 30th).

If you DO NOT SEE THE OPTION TO RENEW your card in your online account…DO NOT SUBMIT A NEW APPLICATION!!

The NJSP renewal fee will is $80.87 payable by credit card only (fee as of 12/2024)
The NJSP will provide you with your unique SIX-DIGIT APPLICANT I.D. NUMBER

STEP #2:
When you have obtained your six-digit Applicant Identification Number, you can schedule to attend the required 8-HOUR training class, which must be completed for certification.

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS

• Students must present the instructor with: 1) the SIX-DIGIT APPLICANT ID NUMBER; 2) proof of a current NJ SORA Card, plus one additional Photo ID.
• Payment for the class: The cost of the class ($45.00) is SEPERATE & ADDITIONAL to the NJSP Fee. We accept CASH, MONEY ORDER or CREDIT CARDS.
• If you wish to pay for the class on the day of class, you must Reserve a seat in advance by paying an $8.00 Reservation Fee. Your seat will be reserved and the total class fee must be paid at check-in the the 1st day of class.
• You must complete a COURSE REGISTRATION FORM upon check-in to the class. Forms are available online from this web site or from the Instructor on the 1st day of class.
• Dress Code is Business Casual
• Only some training locations provide writing and note-taking materials. We encourage you to bring your own to class.
