First Aid Training Courses
LADD offers certification & re-certification training classes in First Aid, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED). We also offer courses in Bloodborne Pathogens and Severe Bleed Care.
We offer both in-person & online classes to our students, as well as private, in-house training to groups of 12 or more students*. Call us at 973-875-0036 for additional information regarding your in-house training needs.
You will find a complete description of the courses we provide below. Some courses are available only as Online Platform Courses, while others are available both as online & instructor-led courses. All courses and certifications are provided through American Trauma Event Management. Group BLS certification is also available through AHA…please inquire as to pricing for this option.
Hybrid Courses are a combination of online and instructor-led training. Once the student has successfully completed the online portion of the course, they meet with an instructor to perform a series of skill set exercises that demonstrate the student’s ability to perform the required tasks in order to pass the course and receive certification.

COMPLETE FIRST AID/CPR/AED TRAINING

This program combines our First Aid course and our CPR/AED skills together into a comprehensive training program which will provide the student with overall knowledge an skills to handle most medical emergencies.
First Aid skills include recognizing the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illness, as well as dealing with emergencies like bleeding, shock, burns, strains, fractures, allergic reactions, diabetic issues and seizures.
In addition, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) skills are taught which will help maintain blood flow to the brain and heart in an emergency situation, and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Training will provide the student with skills to recognize unresponsive victims, as well as proper operation of AED equipment.
The successful student will be certified for two (2) years
**Renewal Courses are intended for CURRENT ATEM certified students…the submission of a current ATEM certification card will be required before the student will be able to take a renewal course.

BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS

This program includes information that will help students understand what Bloodborne Pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others.
The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030)
The successful student will be will be certified for a period of one (1) year.

SEVERE BLEED CARE

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, more commonly known as CPR, is a life-saving technique that helps maintain blood flow to the brain and heart in an emergency situation.
Automated External Defibrillation (AED)Training provides the victim with rapid defibrillation access before EMS arrival, greatly increasing the chance of survival. Training includes recognition of unresponsive victims, along with review of the proper operation of AED equipment.
The successful student will be will be certified for a period of two (2) years.
