S.O.R.A. RE-CERTIFICATION COURSE

LADD’s Security Officer Re-Certification Course is the course required to be completed by all candidates who are currently certified Security Officers in the State of New Jersey and need to renew their certification. The course is a one-day, 8-Hour hands-on* course which is delivered in a classroom environment.
This course will cover a review of all topics in the 24-Hour course, such as:
- The current Role of Security Officers
- Emergency Response by Security
- Security Officer’s Code of Ethics
- Criminal Street Gang Awareness
- Document & ID Fraud
- Dealing with Missing Persons
- S.O.R.A. Rules and Regulations
- Use of Force by Security Officers
- Documenting Incidents & Report Writing
- Fire Safety & Hazmat Awareness
- Homeland Security
- Bombs & Bomb Threat Awareness
- ……and several other topics!**
*Successful Course Completion requires the passing of a 50-Question written examination & the submission of an ID photograph taken by the instructor.
**Review topics covered are in compliance with the mandatory subject matter required by the New Jersey State Police.
To successfully enroll in this course, the student must FIRST submit an online RENEWAL application with the New Jersey State Police, which is the licensing agency for Security Officers in New Jersey, and meet other criteria as specified in the SORA law.
