Refund & Terms of Service Policy
Effective: January 1, 2026
By applying for or participating in any course of instruction offered by LADD Security Management Consultants, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as LADD), the person seeking to obtain services from LADD (hereinafter referred to as the Student, Client or Participant) agrees to be bound by both LADD’s Refund & Terms of Service Policy. This policy is listed below:
LADD’s Refund Policy:
We know life happens. Our goal at LADD is to work with our Clients to provide the best possible outcomes while maintaining our business model. We have therefore established the following policies with regard to refunds for LADD services:
- If LADD is required to cancel or re-schedule any class for any reason, the Student will be provided with the following two (2) options:
a. The Student may opt for a refund of the course fee paid to LADD for the class in question, or;
b. The Student may choose the new class date offered or another class date that is scheduled by LADD that they are able to attend. - Cancellations made by the Student for attending any class that the Student has been enrolled in can be made up until 4:00 pm EST prior to the starting date of the class in question (e.g.: if the class begins on the 15th, then the student has until 4:00pm on the 14th to cancel). In such cases, the Student will be provided with a 100% refund, minus any non-refundable fees to the Student. The student must request this refund within this time frame by either emailing us at info@laddsecurity.com or by calling 973-875-0036. All refunds will be credited to the original form of payment. Cash payments will be refunded by check within Ten (10) business days.
- Any Cancellation which is made by the Student after the deadline specified in #2 above, is considered a Late Cancellation Student. Any Student who fails to attend an enrolled class without prior notification to LADD is considered a No-Show Student. Late Cancellation and No-Show Students will forfeit all fees paid to LADD and will not be eligible for a refund.
- Exceptions may be made for No-Show or Late Cancellation Students, provided that a tangible explanation that precluded the Student from making the required notification or from attending the enrolled class. Such exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis, and LADD may require documentary proof from the Student to substantiate the explanation. In such cases, LADD may permit the Student to re-schedule the missed class without penalty within Thirty (30) Calendar days from the date of the missed class, at the sole discretion of LADD.
- A Student is considered “enrolled” in a course if the Student submits a request to LADD to either reserve or guarantee a seat in any class, by the payment of a Seat Guarantee Fee, or by the Student’s payment in full of any class fee.
- LADD is neither liable nor responsible for the loss by the Student of any other fees from any outside agency or entity in relation to a class that the Student has enrolled in which is associated with any certification or re-certification that the Student seeks to obtain.
- The Seat Guarantee Fee is a Non-Refundable service fee, however LADD may permit such payment to be applied against a future class date within Thirty (30) Calendar days from the original class date that the Student was enrolled in.
- The Seat Guarantee Fee will be deducted from the total course fee when the Student checks in for the 1st day of class. The remaining balance of any course fee will be due upon check-in on the 1st day (e.g.: if a student paid a seat guarantee fee of $9.00, and the course fee is $99.00, then the student is responsible for a balance of $90.00 at check-in).
- All ONLINE CLASSES must be PAID IN FULL upon registration. All payments for Online Class are Non-Refundable, however LADD may permit the payment to be applied against a future class date within Thirty (30) Calendar days of the enrolled class date if the Student is determined to be eligible.
- If enrolled in a New Jersey S.O.R.A. training class, all Students must satisfy ALL REQUIREMENTS for certification or re-certification as established by the State of New Jersey and the New Jersey State Police (hereinafter referred to as the NJSP). Any Student that FAILS to meet these requirements, including attending the Total Number of Required Class Hours for any class will not be provided with a refund.

- All fees paid by credit/debit card will be assessed an additional handling fee of $1.99-$2.49, based on the course fee, to cover the costs of credit card processing. This is a service fee that is Non-Refundable.
- Any credit/debit card charge reversals initiated by credit/debit card issuers for charges legitimately assessed by LADD will be disputed to the fullest extent allowed by law. LADD reserves the right to seek damages against any Client or Student who fraudulently seeks a refund for service charges legitimately made by LADD against their credit/debit card.
- LADD‘s Refund Policy is subject to change without prior notice.
