LADD’s Terms of Service:
LADD Security Management Consultants, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as LADD) is a veteran-owned full service security company dedicated to providing the best in security training. Our goal is to provide our students with the resources necessary to assist them in obtaining certification or re-certification under the New Jersey Security Officers Registration Act (hereinafter referred to as NJSORA)

The following are our established Terms of Service with regard to our NJSORA training services:

  1. Potential NJSORA Students (hereinafter referred to as Students, Clients or Participants) that wish to participate in any of our courses must be eligible to participate. Students must comply with all New Jersey state laws and other regulations with regard to being eligible for NJSORA certification or re-certification.
  2. Students acknowledge that LADD DOES NOT issue any NJSORA certification or re-certifications. LADD DOES NOT have the authority, nor the ability to grant any Student the authorization to operate as a certified New Jersey Security Officer. This authority is invested SOLELY within the purview of the New Jersey State Police through their Private Detective Unit (hereinafter referred to as the NJSP or the PDU).
  3. LADD‘s NJSORA courses (both in-person & online) are presented AS-IS. The materials presented are authorized for use by the NJSP PDU. There is NO WARRANTY, either expressed or implied by LADD, its agents, employees or associates, for any of the materials presented, or that the Student will be able obtain certification or re-certification by the NJSP PDU.
  4. As required by the NJSORA statute, Students must first submit an online application for certification or re-certification for a NJ SORA license with the NJSP PDU PRIOR to attending any NJSORA course. Students WILL NOT be permitted to participate in any SORA class presented by LADD without having first submitted an application to the NJSP PDU and providing LADD with the requisite NJSP Applicant Identification Number (Applicant ID) issued by the NJSP PDU.
  5. Students must provide LADD with their Applicant ID number when registering for any NJSORA class. The Applicant ID number is a 6-digit number issued to the Student when completing the application to the NJSP PDU.
  6. The responsibility for submitting an application to the NJSP PDU rests entirely with the Student. LADD is not responsible for submitting this application on behalf of the Student.
  7. Students must submit a completed course registration form at check-in on the first day of class and present two (2) forms of appropriate government issued photo identification. Appropriate forms identification include:
    a. Valid Digital Drivers License
    b. Valid US Passport or Passport Card
    c. Valid US Permanent Resident Card
    d. Current NJSORA Identification Card
    e. Current State or County Identification Card
    f. Other acceptable Identification, as determined by the Instructor/Proctor
  8. Students who are re-certifying (renewing) their NJSORA certification must ALSO provide proof of a current, valid NJSORA certification and must provide the NJ State Bureau of Identification Number (SBI Number), which is printed on the SORA ID Card.
  9. There is no eating, drinking or smoking allowed in the classroom during any LADD in-person class. Sufficient breaks will be provided during the class to accommodate any the needs of any Student. If any Student has a unique individual need, this need must be discussed with the Class Instructor prior to the start of class.
  10. Students may not utilize any cell phones or other electronic devices while class is in session. All devices must be set to “silent” or “vibrate” mode in order not to disrupt the class. Students may be allowed to exit the class to take any important phone call.
  11. When participating in an ONLINE NJSORA class, the Student is required to act and present themselves online as if they were in an actual live classroom environment. The Student’s camera must be turned on and kept on at all times during the class, and the Student must be visible to the Instructor during the entire class. The Student cannot be operating any motor vehicle or be in transit at any time during the class session. The Student’s correct name must appear in the camera identification area.
  12. NO PHOTOGRAPHY of any class session or material is allowed by Students unless authorized by the Class Instructor.
  13. There is NO VIDEO OR AUDIO RECORDING OR REPRODUCTION allowed to be taken by the Student of any portion of the class in any way unless authorized by the Instructor.
  14. All materials and presentations which is not copyrighted by other organizations are Copyright © 2026 – LADD Security Management Consultants, Inc. No recording or reproduction of any materials or presentations is permitted unless permission is granted by LADD or the other respective copyright holders.
  15. Students are responsible for their own conduct during class. Any Student who becomes disruptive, is non-compliant, or is in violation of class rules will be removed from class without refund.
  16. Participation in any course offered through LADD is strictly voluntary. Students accept all liability in regard to their attendance. Students specifically waive and hold LADD, its employees, agents, associates and vendors, harmless from all liability occurring from the Student’s actions while in attendance during any course offered by LADD.
  17. Unless otherwise specified in writing to us, Students agree to allow LADD to use their reviews, comments, and images related to their participation in any LADD course in LADD‘s promotional ads, materials, web and social media sites, including student name and images, commentary and/or other statement without any compensation or remuneration paid to said Student.
  18. All class fees associated with participating in any course offered by LADD must be paid in full no later than at the start of the first day of class during check-in. Students who pay online should have available, if required, proof of pre-payment of any class fees. All remaining balances due for class fees must be paid by the Student upon check-in.
  19. Forms of payment include; cash, money order or credit card* payment.
    *Credit Card payments are subject to a separate and additional handling fee of $1.99-$2.49, based on the amount of the course fee, which is non-refundable.
  20. LADD does not accept personal checks as a form of payment. Payments can be made by Money Order and must indicate “LADD SECURITY” as the payee. Any refunds are subject to our Refund Policy as stated herein.
  21. LADD‘s Terms of Service are subject to change without prior notice.
