By applying for or participating in any course of instruction offered by LADD Security Management Consultants, Inc., the student/participant agrees to be bound by both LADD’s Refund Policy and Terms of Service. These terms and policy are listed below:
Terms and Policies are updated and current, effective: April 1, 2025
LADD’s Refund Policy:
We know life happens. Our goal at LADD is to work with our students/clients to provide the best possible outcomes while maintaining our business model. We have therefore established the following policies with regard to refunds for LADD services:
- If LADD must cancel or re-schedule any class for any reason, the Student will be provided with the following two (2) options:
- The Student may opt for a FULL REFUND of any fees paid to LADD for the class in question, or;
- The Student may choose the new class date offered or another class date that they are able to attend.
- Cancellation for attending classes which are made by the Student up to FORTY-EIGHT (48) HOURS of the date of the first day of class will be provided with a 100% refund, minus any reservation fees (if applicable) or non-refundable credit card fees to the Student. Student must request same within this time frame by either emailing us at [email protected] or by calling 973-875-0036. Any refund will be credited to the original form of payment. Cash payments will be refunded by check.
- Cancellations which are made by the Student between FORTY-EIGHT (48) HOURS & TWENTY-FOUR (24) HOURS of the date of the first day of class will incur a $20.00 cancellation fee charged against the student.
- Any Cancellation which is made by the Student within TWENTY-FOUR (24) HOURS of the date of the first day of class and all NO-SHOW students will NOT be eligible for any refund.
- The Seat Reservation Fee is NON-REFUNDABLE, however the payment may be applied against a future class date within 90 days of the original class date that the Student was originally scheduled to attend.
- The Seat Reservation Fee will be deducted from the total course fee if the student attends the class. The balance of the course fee will be due upon check-in on the 1st day (example: if a student paid a reservation fee of $10, and the course fee of $100, the student is responsible for the balance of $90 at check-in).
- Payments for all ONLINE CLASSES are NON-REFUNDABLE, however the payment may be applied against a future class date within 90 days of the original class date that the Student was scheduled to attend.
- Students MUST successfully complete ALL REQUIREMENTS for certification or re-certification as established by the New Jersey State Police. Any Student that FAILS to meet these requirements, including attending the TOTAL NUMBER OF REQUIRED HOURS of any class will NOT be provided with a refund.
- Denial of refunds are made on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at [email protected] to discuss your individual situation.
- All fees paid by credit cards will be assessed an additional credit card fee to cover the costs of credit card processing. The credit card fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
- Any reversals initiated by credit card issuers for charges legitimately assessed by LADD will be disputed.

LADD’s Terms of Service:
LADD Security Management Consultants, Inc. (LADD) is a veteran-owned full service security company dedicated to providing the best in security training. Our goal is to provide our students with the resources necessary to assist them in obtaining certification or re-certification under the New Jersey Security Officers Registration Act (NJSORA)
The following are our established Terms of Service with regard to our NJSORA training services:
- Potential NJSORA Students (Student(s)) wishing to participate in our courses must be eligible to participate. Students MUST be in compliance with all New Jersey state laws and other regulations with regard to being eligible for NJSORA certification or re-certification.
- Students acknowledge that LADD Security Management Consultants, Inc. DOES NOT issue any NJSORA certification or re-certifications. LADD Security Management Consultants, Inc. (LADD) DOES NOT have the authority, nor the ability to grant any Student the authorization to operate as a certified New Jersey Security Officer. This authority is invested SOLELY within the purview of the New Jersey State Police Private Detective Unit ( NJSP PDU).
- LADD’s NJSORA courses (both in-person & online) are presented AS-IS. The materials presented are authorized for use by the NJSP PDU. There is NO WARRANTY, either expressed or implied by LADD or its associates, for any of the materials presented, or that the Student will be able obtain certification or re-certification by the NJSP PDU.
- As required by the NJ SORA statute, Students must first submit an online application for certification or re-certification for a NJ SORA license with the NJSP PDU PRIOR to attending any SORA course. Students WILL NOT be permitted to participate in any SORA class presented by LADD without first submitting an application to the NJSP PDU and providing LADD with the requisite NJSP Applicant Identification Number issued by the NJSP PDU.
- Students must provide LADD with this Applicant ID number no later than upon check-in on the 1st day of class. The Applicant ID number is a 6-digit number issued to the Student when completing the application to the NJSP PDU.
- The responsibility for submitting an application to the NJSP PDU rests entirely with the STUDENT. LADD is not responsible for submitting this application on behalf of the Student.
- All Students must submit a completed course registration form at check-in on the first day of class and present two (2) forms of appropriate personal identification (one which must be a photo id). Appropriate forms identification include:
- Valid Digital Drivers License
- Valid US Passport or Passport Card
- Valid US Permanent Resident Card
- Current NJSORA Identification Card
- Current State or County Identification Card
- Other acceptable Identification, as determined by the Instructor/Proctor
- If the Student is re-certifying (renewing) their NJSORA certification, they must ALSO provide proof of their current NJSORA certification as one of the forms of ID.
- No eating, drinking or smoking is allowed in the classroom during any LADD in-person class. Sufficient breaks will be provided during the class to accommodate any the needs of any Student. If any Student has a unique individual need, this need must be discussed with the Class Instructor prior to the start of class.
- Students may not utilize any cell phones while class is in session. All phones must be set to “silent” or “vibrate” mode in order not to disrupt the class. Students may be allowed to exit the class to take any important phone call.
- NO PHOTOGRAPHY of any class session or material is allowed by Students unless authorized by the Class Instructor.
- NO VIDEO OR AUDIO RECORDING OR REPRODUCTION by Students is allowed of any portion of the class in any way unless authorized by the Instructor.
- All materials and presentations which is not copyrighted by other organizations are Copyright © 2025 by LADD Security Management Consultants, Inc. No recording or reproduction of any materials or presentations is permitted unless permission is granted by LADD or the other respective copyright holders.
- Students are responsible for their own conduct during class. Any Student who becomes disruptive, non-compliant, or is in violation of class rules will be removed from class without refund.
- Participation in a LADD NJSORA class is strictly voluntary. Students accept all liability in regard to their attendance. Students specifically waive and hold harmless, LADD, its employees, agents, associates and vendors, from all liability occurring from the Student’s actions while in attendance during a LADD delivered course.
- All class fees associated with participating in a LADD NJSORA course must be paid in full no later than at the start of the first day of class during check-in. Students who pay online should have available, if required, proof of pre-payment of any class fees. All remaining balances due for class fees must be paid by the Student upon check-in.
- Forms of payment include; cash, money order or credit card* payment. Payments by Money Order may be made out to “LADD SECURITY”. Any refunds are subject to our Refund Policy as stated herein.
- *All Credit Card payments are subject to a separate and additional credit card processing fee which may be non-refundable.
